Birds Project
People
In the 80s, Luis Marone
started studying the abundance of birds and their responses to different
habitat features and environmental conditions in the Reserve of
Ñacuñán and its surroundings. In 1993, together with the creation
of Ecodes, Javier Lopez de Casenave
started with the studies of diet and feeding behaviour of birds,
which would be part of his PhD thesis, in collaboration with Luis
Marone and Víctor Cueto. Eduardo
T Mezquida studied the reproductive ecology of birds and
the importance of nesting site selection and nestling predation
for his PhD thesis.
At present, Víctor
R Cueto is responsible for the research line "Feeding
preferences" with the participation of Luis Marone, Sergio
Camín, Fernando A Milesi and Antonio Mangione, and
he is starting to develop the "Movements"
research line.
Fernando
A Milesi is doing his PhD thesis developing the research
line "Use of space" under Luis
Marone's supervision and in collaboration with Javier Lopez de Casenave
and Víctor R Cueto.
